Elyse Filon

President

Elyse is an attorney who has specialized in international corporate taxation and corporate finance for over 20 years in New York City and Boca Raton, Florida. Tennis has had a positive impact on her life, helping her to stay fit and to form personal and professional relationships with people from around the world. Through Open Court, she hopes to inspire students to love tennis and experience all the benefits it can bring to their lives.

Erik Silver

Vice President, Director of Operations

 Erik is the Director of Tennis at the Boca Raton Resort and Club, where he has led the tennis program for 20 years. He has had a lifelong commitment to tennis, both playing and teaching throughout Europe and the United States. In addition, Erik has dedicated his time to the Boys and Girls Club of Boca Raton through weekly clinics and fundraising for several years and is very enthusiastic to be a founder of Open Court.

Michael Filon

Treasurer

Michael is a finance executive who has specialized in international corporate taxation, mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance for over 20 years in New York City and Boca Raton, Florida. Tennis has provided him a unique outlet for his interests in being outdoors, working out, competing and building relationships. Through Open Court, he hopes to create a platform that reduces the barriers that prevent young boys and girls from discovering and learning from this wonderful game.

Courtney Dadas (with Winston)

Secretary

Courtney has been in the financial industry for over 8 years. She enjoys helping people reach their personal and financial goals. Tennis has been a big influence in Courtney’s life. She uses tennis to not only meet new people but to stay mentally and physically fit. Courtney hopes through Open Court to be able to introduce a new sport to many young kinds and help them gain confidence while having fun.

Bobby Bernstein

Bobby has been a tennis pro at the Boca Raton Resort since 2012. First working for Martin Blackman in his Academy and then taking over as Director of the High-Performance Tennis Academy in 2016. Prior to that he worked as a USTA National Coach and worked with many of the top young Americans in the Player Development Program, including Andy Roddick and Robby Ginepri. He has also recorded and analyzed the strokes of dozens of world-class players and shared the results with players and coaches throughout the country. 

Jim Tierney

Jim is a certified USPTA and PTR tennis professional with more than thirty-five years of experience, including 18 years running 3 tennis centers for the City of Boca Raton. Jim has provided tennis lessons for all levels of play and all ages. Jim is a firm believer in giving back to the community. In addition to volunteering his expertise at Open Court, Jim provides instruction for wheelchair tennis programs at Patch Reef Tennis Center and the City of Palm Beach Gardens.
